Spotlight on Interior Designer Jessica Clarke
Get ready to be inspired! Our industry means that the people we surround ourselves with are incredibly creative. Jessica Clarke is an amazing Interior Designer and also a great friend of ours. Jessica specialises in Kitchen + Bathroom design, and has worked on many incredible projects. We couldn't wait to interview her for Bull + Tash and to tell you guys a bit about her.
We asked Jess some questions...
What inspires you?
Many different things, I would say the main things are Art, Traveling
How did you get into interior design?
Having studied Textile Design at University I always knew I wanted to have a creative job. When leaving Uni, I initially found It hard to get the 'dream' job, but with patience and passion I found It!
What have been some of your favourite projects?
Working on 26 High-end flats in Harpenden was fun, I always love the individual client projects as you can build a great rapport.
What have been some of your most challenging projects?
My own home, when your living and looking at the space everyday It can be hard to vision.
What and/or who are some of your design inspirations?
Love a bit of Industrial styling. For artists would say Alexander McQueen and Banksy also.
What is your favourite book/magazine on design?
Name your three favourite interior design brands?
Erol, Karol & Tom Dixon.
Where are your favourite places to travel?
It’s hard to choose but ITALY is amazing, so are Japan, Vietnam & NYC.
Which social media accounts inspire you?
Where is your favourite place to have coffee?
Fred & Ginger, Kings Langley.
What are your favourite current trends?
Retro Is big In the Industry as well as coloured sanitary-ware.
What is the best part of your job?
Every day Is different! Having the bonus of spending office days with my puppy :)
What advice do you have for young designers reading this interview?
If you have the Passion do not give up on your dream whatever the size… You can do it!
